Head of financial information systems

Full Time 37 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Devon County Council as Head of Financial Information Systems. The role will be responsible for developing and delivering the strategy for financial systems and business intelligence to achieve the Council rsquo;s financial information and reporting objectives. The Council operates in a regulated environment where financial resources are constrained and the drive for efficiency and improvement in the use of the resources is fundamentally important to the Council rsquo;s success in delivering its strategic and service responsibilities and priorities. Demand and costs for services continue to grow, therefore the need to drive effective understanding, planning and management of resources, costs and income to inform financial management and control, benchmarking, performance management and improvement is crucial to financial sustainability and service performance.
