Senior qs

Our client, a Tier One building contractor who have an enviable order book within the North East of Scotland, are actively looking to recruit a Senior QS to join their team on a permanent basis. Sectors they work within include Education, Healthcare and Leisure up to the value of GBP20m Duties to include: * Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages * Contributing to stage 2 tenders through the creation of cost plan, business cases and procurement of sub contract supply chain. * Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement * Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages. * Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value. * Taking commercial lead on live projects, ensuring effective management of project cashflow. * Managing projects as per the contract NEC / JCT ensuring all risks are recognised and mitigated and commercial opportunities realised. * Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports) If you would be interested in hearing more about this role, please contact John Gillen for more information
