Business development manager

THIS IS A REMOTE ROLE Summary and Main Purpose: Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to enhance the portfolio of the Adult Technical Training, HGV, Light Vehicle and Autocare apprentice programmes. They are looking for a highly driven, successful Business Development Manager, with a track record in sales and apprenticeships, with the skill, ambition, and relentless appetite for success. To be successful, you will have to confidently gain access to the key decision makers and influencers in automotive and logistic organisations, also being aware of and promoting the company rsquo;s other products and services. This is a field-based role, so travel and being a self-starter with a proven track record in the territory and sector is essential. Main Purpose of the role: * Identify and engage with employers to generate commercial funded starts relating to the training programmes on offer * Proactively pursue leads and new opportunities with new target clients, developing strong propositions, exceptional relationships at all levels and communicating the growing service offering (both funded and commercial) across all key sectors * Generate own leads via field sales, cold calling, networking, and presentations to secure new employer accounts and promote our client as the Training Provider of choice * Manage and maximise employer relationships to secure new/repeat business Key Responsibilities: * To grow revenue and identify strategies for future growth opportunities * To identify, manage and win key opportunities primarily with large clients * Consult with clients on their training needs analysis * A collaborative or supportive approach to bid management working with the bid management team * To manage financial aspects of each opportunity, including developing the opportunity budgets * To lead on proposal writing and presentation production and delivery for each opportunity * Maintain a high and frequent level of contact with key targets at all levels throughout customer organisations * Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of target customers, businesses, products, challenges, and competitors * Maintain sales plans and pipeline relevant to each opportunity * To carry out other duties as and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy customer needs. * Identification of opportunities to improve and develop business further * Understand client culture and values and work in line with these always * Promote a learning culture for the client through workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and leadership development * Remain abreast with developments in learning and development and funding arena in order to best advise clients and develop solutions * Use innovation as a tool to achieve growth and encourage its development in others * Plan and prioritise personal sales activities towards achieving agreed business aims Personal Specification: * Functional skills at Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT or equivalent qualifications * A minimum of 3 years rsquo; experience in a Business Development role; working to, achieving and exceeding targets * A minimum of 1 years rsquo; experience of Business Development in a similar role within the apprenticeship training sector * Experience of selling commercial training * Extensive knowledge of the Automotive Sector * Full valid driving licence Benefits Package: In return for your skills and experience you will receive a competitive salary plus an enhanced benefits package including company car or car allowance, laptop and mobile phone, generous holiday allowance, pension scheme, flexible working, additional birthday annual leave and much more.
