Sessional care support worker

Care Support Worker Location: Working across any of our Housing services across the Glasgow area Salary: Salary of GBP12.00 per hour will be backdated to 1/4/24 upon receipt of funding from the local authorities. Salary payable until then is GBP11.00 per hour. As our Care Support Worker, you will undertake a wide variety of tasks including delivering and arranging high quality person centered support, care, daily living, and personal development opportunities. Our service is designed to provide emergency accommodation and support to people, many of whom may be going through periods of crisis. The service will be highly flexible and provide high quality accommodation and support to individuals and potentially couples, who urgently require those provisions at any time (365 days of the year, 24 hours per day). We are looking for inspiring individuals to become Support Workers based in Glasgow with similar values and who are keen to fulfil the following responsibilities: * To support and enable individuals to maintain their accommodation; develop budgeting skills, cook nutritional meals and managing their home. * To signpost and source appropriate services such as Health Care, Housing Associations, Case Workers, Addiction/Recovery Services. * To work with individuals to achieve their desired Support Development Goals through use of an Outcome Measurement Framework called Better. Associations, Case Workers, Addiction/Recovery Services. * To carry out assessments and reviews of support needs as and when necessary due to the changing needs and aspirations of individuals. * To carry out Risk Enablement Plans as and when necessary due to the changing needs and aspirations of individuals. * Working with individuals to achieve their desired Support Development Goals through use of an Outcome Measurement Framework called Better In order to be successful in this role the following is essential: * Excellent organisational and time management. * Strong IT skills. * Good numeracy, literacy and verbal communication skills. * Clear understanding of Health Social Care Standards. * Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced homeless accommodation setting. * At least 1 years rsquo; personal or professional experience in a comparable role with transferable skills is preferred for this post. It would be great if you: * Are hardworking, flexible, motivated, and driven to do the right thing by the people we support. * Have an SVQ 2 or 3 in Health Social Care or a commitment to undertake an SVQ; and Registration with the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) or a commitment to become registered.
