Maintenance engineer

Position: Junior Maintenance Engineer Location: Heathfield, East Sussex Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP28,000 per annum Benefits: * 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays * Birthday off as additional leave * Discounts on products * Pensions * Friendly working environment About the Role: Are you a driven and passionate individual with a background in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering? Join our team as a Junior Maintenance Engineer and immerse yourself in a manufacturing environment. You #39;ll play a pivotal role in maintaining our client #39;s machinery and ensuring smooth operations. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer: * Shadow the Production Manager to learn maintenance leadership responsibilities and best practices. * Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical issues * Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machinery and replacing parts * Provide excellent customer service to internal departments * Assist in coordinating maintenance activities and resource deployment. * Provide timely support for machine breakdowns to minimize downtime. * Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks on production machinery. * Participate in reactive, preventative, and planned maintenance activities. * Conduct regular inspections to identify faults and areas for improvement. * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. * Efficiently identify and rectify faults to optimise productivity. Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer: * Previous experience in manufacturing or production preferred. * Proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems troubleshooting. * Familiarity with maintenance practices. * Ability to conduct thorough inspections. * Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. * Team player with adaptability in a fast-paced environment. * Valid Driver #39;s License (Preferred due to location) * 3 Years of machine maintenance experience * Right to work in the UK Benefits of the Maintenance Engineer: * Free parking * On-site parking * Sick pay Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Heathfield: Live within a reliably commutable distance
