Warehouse manager

M4 Specialist are recruiting for a Warehouse Manager for our Customer, a roofing specialist for their depot in Brockley - SE4 2DS to start immediately. Job Requirements To Ensure a safe and efficient working environment for staff customers and visitors Maintain company/branch procedures and plans set by Branch Manager and Head Office Manage the Warehouse and Transport staff, setting an example with regards to attitude, appearance and overall requirements Key Responsibilities Report and correct any breaches of Health Safety Supervising day-to-day operations Maintain department procedures and stock locations. Liaise with the Branch Manager Day-to-day management of the warehouse, staff and drivers maintaining the standard of Health Safety Other ad-hoc duties where and when required Overseeing Goods-In/Out, ensuring that orders are correct and on time Be a key holder Ensuring security of the Branch Ensuring yard and warehouse is open on time for trading Detailed Responsibilities Goods In Oversee that each delivery is checked and paperwork is brought into the office, instruct where goods need to be placed if required All vehicles are unloaded in an allocated unloading area Plan and co-ordinate incoming goods Ensure supplier vehicles and our vehicles are escorted in and out of the yard correctly and unloaded in designated area Ensure areas are clear for new stock Goods Out Ensure the correct loading documents are used by staff Plan and co-ordinate the loading of all vehicles in a safe manner and in good time Check vehicle loads are correctly and safely before deliveries leave the depot Report any differences and amend paperwork to match Prepare shipping documentation and any other relevant paperwork Order Preparation Co-ordinate with staff to prioritize the picking of orders Where possible, orders to be completed (OTIF) on time, in full Ensure all differences are recorded on the Picking paperwork Ensure all completed orders are brought back to the office and processed Keep a daily log of errors (report picking errors) and issues that need attention Customers Customers to be served and loaded correctly, politely and to receive excellent service Report any shortfalls on Customer Collections Stock Management Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Annually stock takes to be carried out as per agreed schedule Investigate any shortfalls and report to Manager Monitor stock levels reporting any low levels to relevant personnel Breakages sheet completed by staff and reported to relevant personnel Ensure all products are stored correctly Rotate stock where applicable Staff Day-to-day management of staff, enforcing policies and enforcing procedures including tasks and planning Training and development of staff Ensure customers and suppliers receive good service levels Forklifts Lorries Ensuring daily checks are completed and any issues reported Health Safety Maintain a safe and tidy environment Check our Health Safety website and allow time for staff to complete any outstanding training Record any lsquo;incidents rsquo; or lsquo;near misses rsquo; onto our Health Safety website Keep records of any training in the correct way Report any Health Safety breaches Security Warehouse and yard to be locked securely at the end of the trading day Where applicable customers must not serve themselves Ensure yard and warehouse storage areas are always secure Other Recommendations Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing working procedures, report to Manager for authorisation JOB TITLE: Warehouse Manager SECTOR: Industrial LOCATION: Brockley SE4 2DS SALARY: GBP30,000 JOB TYPE: Permanent DURATION: Permanent M4 Specialist are an employment business and operates as an equal opportunities employer.Authority to issue an advertisement in respect of the above mentioned position has been obtained from the hirer concerned
