Senior Quantity Surveyor Nottingham (East Midlands Surrounding Areas) GBP Competitive Salary + Package (DOE) My client is an award-winning property services company that has got a Senior Quantity Surveyor job roll opportunity now available. As a business they deliver planned and reactive maintenance to social housing across with a diverse track record and an unrivalled commitment to customer service. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be tasked to plan, control, manage and ensure effective administration of the commercial and financial aspects of all contracts while ensuring complete compliance with the contract outlines. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be commercially astute and be involved in pricing works on selected projects. You will be given ownership and accountability for delivering sub contact packages to projects. Ensuring the best possible value and profit is maintained during and closing of project delivery. You will have worked on social housing projects, such as voids, re-roofing, and general refurbishment upgrades. Dealing with Housing associations within the region. Key Responsibilities: bull; Maintain and develop commercial processes and procedures and maximise returns in terms of profit. bull; Manage and reduce unnecessary costs and inefficient activities. bull; Maximise cash flow through valuations, submission of invoices and receipt of payment. bull; Final Accounts management including variations, claims and disputes. bull; Financial forecasting for use in setting targets and managing the business. bull; Monitoring resources and costs to ensure that the projects meet agreed targets. Experience and Qualifications: bull; You will have experience of working within the social housing sector, ideally working on planned reactive maintenance contracts. bull; Experience with cost control, BOQ, cost management, planning and reporting. bull; You will be degree qualified or equivalent.
