Freight Operator ndash; Roles and Responsibilities * To receive customer orders via different means including telephone, email, and customer specific transport portals * To accurately create orders via internal operating system * Match the order to a resource solution using network of Transport Suppliers through utilisation of supplier selection rules * Communicate in a timely and professional manner the schedule for collection and delivery, paying special attention to specific requirements * Monitor onsite safety requirements, driver PPE, transit time, ADR requirements and security procedures * Report and non-conformance to the Operations Manager * To provide bespoke key performance indictors to the specific clients * Monitor the profitability of the activity in conjunction with the operations manager * To attend client meetings upon request and agreement of the UK Director Freight Operator ndash; Skills and Experience * Candidate must have some prior export, Import and/or customs experience * Restricted Goods Dangerous Goods, experience of these commodities would be advantageous to employment but not essential * Good communication skills with colleagues at all levels as well as external customers * Ensure legislative compliance in all areas DON #39;T MISS OUT ON THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY - APPLY NOW * Get Staff acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers * Please note that if you have not been contacted within 7 days, your application for this position has been unsuccessful. * Industry Key Words: Transport, Freight, Logistics, Customs, Trucking, Ocean, Air, Import, Export, Distribution
