Job Description: We are seeking a talented Carpentry Quantity Surveyor to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of carpentry projects, ensuring their successful delivery within budget and to the highest standards. Responsibilities: - Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for carpentry projects, considering materials, labour, and other expenses. - Procure materials and subcontractors, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring timely delivery. - Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, identifying and addressing any budgetary concerns. - Collaborate closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure carpentry works meet quality standards and client expectations. - Manage contract variations and claims, resolving disputes efficiently and effectively. - Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify potential issues, and provide solutions. - Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting project performance and areas for improvement. - Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, promoting collaboration and trust. - Stay abreast of industry trends and regulations related to carpentry works, always ensuring compliance. Requirements: - Bachelor rsquo;s degree in quantity surveying, Carpentry, Construction Management, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in carpentry and joinery projects. - Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and costs. - Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with meticulous attention to detail. - Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Excel and construction estimating software. - Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-focused approach. - Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is advantageous. - Flexibility to travel to project sites and attend meetings as required. Salary Range: GBP60,000 - GBP100,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
