Team leader ndash; day care

Permanent (37.5 hours a week) ndash; Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm. Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel, we have been supporting older people for over 100 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty. Wallington Day Care is a day centre in Surrey where clients can meet new friends and do activities they enjoy with help and support from dedicated and experienced care staff. The team are trained in supporting older people with a range of age related conditions, including short-term memory loss and dementia. Joining our committed team as a Team Leader, you will supervise and support day care staff in providing a high standard of personal care and support for our clients so they can maintain independence, autonomy and choice and lead fulfilled lives. Always promoting dignity and confidentiality, you will develop person centred care plans that meet the needs of each and every client and contribute to the co-ordination and provision of meaningful activities. Joining us as Team Leader means no two days are the same. Experienced in working in day care for older people or a similar type of care service, you will ideally hold a Level 3 NVQ in care and have completed specific Dementia training. We will provide you with all the outstanding training and tools that you need; all we ask is a willingness to learn and a genuine enthusiasm to encourage others to live their lives to the full. To succeed in this role, you will need great communication and interpersonal skills, so that you can form great relationships with your clients and colleagues. Number and digital skills are required along with the ability to problem solve and adapt to situations.
