Senior Estimator ndash; Structural Architectural Steelwork GBP40,000 - GBP60,000 (Depending on experience, Package Negotiable) Wickford About the company My Clientare a well-established specialist steelwork fabricator and supplier of Structural andarchitectural steelwork including steel framed buildings, general building steels, balustrades, staircases, handrails and secondary steelwork, from design through to fabrication, site delivery and erection. My client has doubled in size over the last two years and they are now looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team who should have 5 years + industry experience. About the Role: The client is looking for an estimator, who would producing accurate estimations in the agreed time frame and work in line with contractual arrangements. The successful candidate would also be expected to fully participate in the management of all incoming enquiries. Experience working on the following would be beneficial: * Railway Stations (Access For all Schemes) incl London Underground * Rail / Foot / Road Bridges * Lift Shafts * Platform Canopies * Staircases * Motorway Gantries * Structural Steelwork Repairs on existing Bridges or Infrastructure * Temporary Works * Sub-Contract Works Packages i.e. Glazing, Cladding, Balustrades, Civils work etc hellip; Duties: * Daily tasks will change depending on the day and the project but can consist of: * Producing accurate estimations in the agreed time frame * Working in line with contractual arrangements. * Fully participate in the management of all incoming enquiries. * Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates for the indirect resources required to carry out works in accordance with programme. * Reading and understanding architects/ consultants drawings to assess the scope of works * Determining structural steel and architectural metal work requirements for the project / managing the expectations of the customers * Doing full estimates / quotations and responding to tenders with project pricing * Obtaining quotations for any works that need to be subcontracted * Responsible for all changes and variations to pricing prior to contract award * Monitoring of variations to original price with contracts and production managers * Liaison with clients / directors/ contracts managers/ projects managers in weekly meetings * Preparing material take offs and quantity surveying duties for awarded projectS Requirements: * Estimating experience. * Experience within structural steel or similar. * Structural architectural estimating experience essential. * Full UK driving license is required. * Strong planning, organisation and time management skills * Ability to prioritise work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines * Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel Word.
