Trade Counter Sales ndash; Timber Builders Merchant Location: Ashford, Kent Salary: Starting at GBP28,000 PA - GBP38,000.00 (Dependent Upon Experience) + Benefits Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: Monday ndash; Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and alternate Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Job Description: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, sales driven and efficient Trade Counter Sales Person to join our team at a reputable Timber Builders Merchants in Ashford, Kent. As a Trade Counter Sales Person you will be tasked with generating new business for the branch, taking over existing sales ledgers within the business and maintaining and increasing sales volumes. Benefits: * Base Salary Starting between GBP28,000.00 - GBP38,000.00 PA (dependent upon experience) * Pension * Staff discount * Benenden Health Cover (after 3 months) Key Responsibilities: bull; Identify and Capture new Sales opportunities. bull; Process sales orders and telephone sales orders. bull; Help to exceed branch Sales, Margins and Gross profit. bull; Respond positively and effectively to customer #39;s needs. bull; Agree the best possible margin when negotiating with customers in line with ledger budgets and KPI #39;s bull; Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service and ensure our Company Standards and Company Policies are met. bull; Positively act as the link between your branch and your customers bull; Deal with customer queries, issues complaints effectively, pleasantly and in a timely manner. bull; Be vigilant to prevent fraud bull; Be vigilant and report any Health Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately. Experience Attributes - Previous Sales Experience in a Builders Merchants (essential) - Industry and product knowledge. - Demonstrates a positive, friendly and stable attitude. - Is prepared to develop a knowledge of the company, its products and the elements required to be successfully employed in the business. - Someone who will promote and adhere to the company #39;s cultures, values and professionalism. - Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers. - Excellent communicating, influencing and negotiating skills.
