Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Cross-Curriculum Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to students with SEMH needs, incorporating elements of English, mathematics, science, humanities, and vocational subjects. The role involves working closely with colleagues to develop personalized learning plans and implementing strategies to support students #39; social, emotional, and academic development. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of subjects, tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH needs. Develop creative and innovative teaching resources and activities that promote active learning and student engagement. Foster positive relationships with students, providing emotional support and guidance as needed. Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and initiatives that promote social, emotional, and mental well-being. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as necessary. Work closely with external agencies and professionals to support students #39; holistic development and address any additional needs or challenges. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and achievement, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures. Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and keep abreast of best practices in SEMH education. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, preferably in a school or educational setting. Strong understanding of SEMH issues and their impact on learning and development. Knowledge of effective teaching and behaviour management strategies for supporting students with SEMH needs. Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
