Project manager

I have a new opportunity for an experienced project manager to join a reputable housing business with ambitions to deliver circa 250 quality homes and communities per year across Cornwall. Reporting to the head of department you will take the lead on managing multiple projects from design through to completion and aftercare, ensuring homes are built to a high-quality standard and health and safely requirement, within budget and timescales with excellent customer satisfaction. You will be accountable for detailed design, procurement, and construction with a supporting role in acquisition, planning then sales/lettings and aftercare. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. Skills and attributes needed: Proven background in the housebuilding/construction sector in a similar role Accustomed to running/managing major projects Full project life cycle experience including: development, design, logistics procurement, manufacture assembly, commissioning and handover. Strong leadership skills Accustomed to liaising with external and internal contacts Strong stakeholder management skills Team player with a lsquo;can do attitude rsquo; and desire to succeed Commercial awareness Financial awareness Contract management and negotiation Strong business acumen in project planning and management Degree within construction and professional membership is desirable A flexible employer who offer home working, you will spend time in the office, on site and at home, and attend meetings as and when required, in a desirable office location.
