Job Title: Gas Engineer CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, are recruiting a Gas Engineer to join the team located in London. Purpose of the Job To complete maintenance and reactive repairs on the gas equipment and associated plant on site. Be responsible appointed person for the Gas on the NEC group Contract. A multi-skilled engineer to work as required, attending to reactive, planned maintenance and fabric tasks based at London site. Specialism in Mechanical engineering and/or HVAC to meet all service requirements and maintain associated compliance documentation. FGas certification not required. Key Responsibilities Completing Statutory inspection of gas appliances on site and associated plant Complete reactive repairs on gas appliances on site and associated plant Overseeing Annual maintenance of Gas Network across the group Annual auditing of Gas maintenance of all site venues on contract Ensure all gas certification is up to date Assist on other jobs within skill set around site as needed Ensure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times. Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning. Responsible for completing Planned Preventative Maintenance in line with task schedules and industry best practices ensuring task completed on time with full documentation compliance. Responsible for attending and completing day to day reactive calls, including but not limited to; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fabric tasks, within core skill set and SLA. Ensure that all relevant eLog books, Service records, and safety documentation is compiled and recorded to ensure that the site is compliant at all times. Be familiar with all main plant normal operating parameters and proactively monitor conditions. Ensuring that engineering supplies are ordered in a timely manner and are appropriate to the maintenance / reactive task being carried out to aid SLA targets for works completion. Actively identify innovation to enhance performance and continue to meet client expectations. To proactively communicate, both verbally and electronically, in order to receive instruction and provide feedback where necessary. This includes daily checking of individual email accounts and CAFM system / SI App. Take ownership of all plant rooms, risers and other areas under the responsibility of company, and ensure they are locked at all times (where appropriate) and kept in a clean and tidy condition, with waste disposed in accordance with Site rules. Ensure the provision of a safe healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements. Proactively report hazards, as and when they arise. Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning. To adhere to the local uniform requirements and comply with all PPE requirements, as outlined in the site-specific risk assessments. Maintain the professional image of CBRE and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times promoting and maintaining the core values of CBRE. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all CBRE employees and client #39;s representatives. Other duties in line with requests from the client or management team as appropriate. To participate in an OOH #39;s call-out rota ensuring emergency cover is in place and respond as required. Assisting in maintaining compliance on all elog books, including H S. Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance, ensuring company processes and procedures are followed where this applies. Work OOH (by agreement) to assist in the supervision of specialist maintenance and ad-hoc activities - for which you will be paid at the overtime rate. Skills and Experience CCN1, CEN1, COCN1, CCCN1, CIGA1, CDGA, CIGA, COMCAT 5-10 Years Experience in a similar Role Experience on working on large commercial boilers Experience on work on Direct fired AHU #39;s Experience on commercial catering gas a bonus Ability to communicate at all levels Organised and disciplined approach to work giving careful attention to detail Computer literate - Word, Excel, emails Accountabilities Accountable to the Contract Manager The post holder does not have any directly reporting staff This post carries no direct budgetary responsibility
