Application Support Engineer GBP30,000 - GBP32,000 Milton Keynes Position Overview: Our client is seeking an Application Support Engineer to expand on their successful IT Department on an urgent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft technologies, particularly Microsoft SQL Server Database, along with practical experience in Microsoft Support. Additionally, preference will be given to candidates who have a Microsoft Certification as a Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant. Key Responsibilities: 1. Application Support: Provide comprehensive application support for our systems, including troubleshooting and issue resolution related to Microsoft technologies and SQL Server Database. 2. System Migration Support: Assist in the transition to a single system by providing technical expertise and support throughout the migration process. 3. New System Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of new systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. 4. Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in Microsoft technologies, offering guidance and recommendations to optimize system performance and efficiency. 5. Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides. Conduct training sessions for end-users as needed. 6. Continuous Improvement:Proactively identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our systems and operations. Qualifications: * Proven experience in application support, particularly with Microsoft technologies and SQL Server Database. * Practical experience in Microsoft Support, with a strong understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and best practices. * Microsoft Certified Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant certification (preferred). * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
