Building surveyor

The Role: They are looking expand the Building Surveying area of the business, with the recruitment of an enthusiastic and talented Building Surveyor! You would be working on various education and public-sector schemes throughout the whole project life cycle, with average values typically ranging from GBP1M-GBP10M. You will need to be confident in undertaking condition surveys and support the project management team with the delivery of construction projects. You will also be required to produce a schedule of conditions, reports, defect surveys and PPM schedules, mainly in the education sector. Other Tasks Responsibilities Include * Building and maintaining strong client relationships * Undertaking building surveys and site inspections * Preparation of Schedules of Work and Specifications for all types of maintenance and construction projects * Management of sub-consultants and contractors * Delivery of contract administration services * Arranging meetings and collating project documentation as required * Experience in the provision of professional Building Surveying services such as technical due diligence advice * Proactively assist the project management team in the day-to-day delivery of projects * Attend client meetings and take accurate minutes/notes * Development of project documentation, programmes, reports and budgets * Work with external clients and consultant teams Job Location: Central London (London Bridge) Head Count: 15+ Current Projects: Education, Public-Sector Residential Requirements for the Building Surveyor: * Degree qualified ndash; within a construction related discipline * Membership of RICS (or working towards this) * Excellent time management * Understanding of the needs and demands of clients and will to exceed their expectations * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ndash; both written and verbal * Able to prioritise workload, planning ahead as required * Able to work individually or in a team * Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook * Good business development skills The benefits included in this role are * A generous company pension scheme * X2 lucrative company bonuses per year * 28 days holiday a year (increasing with years rsquo; service) * Christmas office closure * Competitive salary and an excellent discretionary bonus * Hybrid work environment * Fun work socials * Two annual performance reviews
