Assistant management accountant

Heyland Recruitment are working alongside this Warrington based logistics and engineering business as they look to recruit an experienced and well-rounded Assistant Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a key role within the finance team where you #39;ll play a vital role assisting with the production of accurate and timely management information in line with business requirements, whilst ensuring regularity obligations are met. Key Responsibilities: Assist with month end close processes including journal entries, reconciling accounts, and producing financial reports, in line with internal reporting deadlines. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain the fixed asset register and HP schedule, accounting for additions disposals. Calculate supplier rebate schemes. Complete board pack slides in Excel PowerPoint. Investigate and implement additional reporting requirements to support the business #39;s decision making. Calculate submit VAT CIS returns in line with HMRC deadlines. Cash management including cash drawdowns, payment processing and banking reconciliations. Credit card statement reconciliation posting. Raising customer credit notes. Complete ONS surveys. Annual CITB levy calculation and submission. Provide back-up support for Sales and Purchase Ledger management (inc. supplier payment runs). Assist with the year end audit, compiling necessary information. Assist within the finance department as and when required.Key Skills / Experience Required: Minimum AAT qualified. 1-2 years #39; experience in a similar role. Have a proven track record in a similar role. Highly motivated and ambitious. Strong analytical and numerical abilities. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
