Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement personalized learning plans and strategies for SEND students. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey. Assist with the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members. Support students with daily tasks and activities, including personal care and behavior management, as needed. Key Skills and Requirements: Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEND, either in a school setting or through relevant voluntary work or personal experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Empathy, patience, and resilience to support students with diverse needs and overcome challenges in a compassionate and positive manner. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to provide the best possible support and care for SEND students. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and respond to unexpected situations with professionalism and composure.
