Specialists in high frequency 20 GHz and higher RF communication systems our client are world leaders supplying to Tier 1 telecoms companies as well as the space and defence sectors. Following a strategic partnership win, they are seeking 2 Senior Project Managers to join their project teams. Info about what the role entails Due to a large project win plus other projects that are about to start, we are seeking a x2 Senior Project Managers to work on major product development projects. You will be controlling project scope (both internal external influences), understanding the issues that can happen during development. You will be working closely with Engineers on site, have a positive impact technically on the project, establish processes, ask the right questions, understand the technical challenges and work through unexpected bumps in the road due to technical issues Essential Requirements of Senior Project Manager * Previous experience as a Project Manager on technically complex products - technical management of electronics, instrumentation, systems engineering etc type projects * An understanding of the full project development lifecycle, starting with specifications, building up through, establishing risk registers etc. * Previous experience managing low volume, high complex (Aerospace, Space, Telco, Defence, Oil and gas, Medical, Scientific) type projects * Able to work with Engineers, deal with engineering team to understand the technical problems, resolve issues that have occurred * At least 5 years experience in a similar environment, product development and project management * Able to pass baseline security clearance Desirable Requirements of Senior Project Manager * Electronics engineering background good but not essential * Project Management certification such as Prince 2, PMP, APM would be good but not essential * SC cleared or clearable Benefits * 3 days on site/office, 2 days from home is OK. * Pension - matched +2% * 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays * Employee Assistance Programme * + many more If you feel you are suitable and interested in this role, APPLY NOW with an up to date CV.
