Health safety advisor

We are recruiting for a Health Safety Advisor to join an established Manufacturing business based in the Coventry area. The Health and Safety Advisor will work as part of a team in an industry leading business where you will provide Health Safety advice, support and guidance promoting a positive culture in the workplace . As the Health Safety Advisor you will be working at all levels to plan, implement, monitor and review preventative safety measures. As the Health Safety Advisor you will be required too : * Conduct risk assessments and review at regular intervals * Review and manage risk assessments and safe systems of work working towards continuous improvement * Complete COSHH assessments when required * Liaise with suppliers to maintain up to date COSHH and material safety datasheets for purchased materials * Assist with occupational checks and assessments * Lead and coordinate regular health safety meetings * Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation * Maintain records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements * Keep up to date with legislation and maintain a good knowledge of all health and safety legislation * Ensure equipment is installed safely Requirements: * A good knowledge of aluminium casting processes, materials and manufacturing techniques would be an advantage * Excellent written and spoken communication skills (able to explain health safety processes to a range of people at all levels) * The ability to analyse complex information and present it in a simple way * Negotiating skills to convince managers of the need to implement and maintain safety standards * NEBOSH certified Join our team as a Health Safety Advisor and contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.
