Senior quantity surveyor

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Head Office: Hertfordshire Project Locations: Essex and London Package: GBP70,000 - GBP75,000 plus car allowance and flexible working Skilled Careers are working with a leading Main Contractor who are one of the key players within the Social Housing sector and due to an excellent workload are now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. The Senior Quantity Surveyor must be someone who has experience within the Social Housing and must be someone who has experience in managing a team. Responsibilities Key role working in the refurbishment team on Social Housing carrying out external works. You will be responsible for leading on two frameworks with a team of quantity surveyors under you. Take responsibility, ownership and accountability of the successful management and control all aspects of the commercial / financial and contractual elements of designated projects within a Division to control and maximise the company rsquo;s profitability, protect the company rsquo;s legal and contractual obligations under the contract and to manage proactively the control of all commercial issues. Managing other commercial and operational resources, ensuring applications and valuations are completed in line with the contract terms and ensuring sub-contractors receive prompt payment and are procured in line with our contractual obligations and commitments to Subcontractors. Requirements Social Housing/Refurbishment Experience. Worked for a UK Main Contractor. Has experience with a team of Surveyors underneath yourself. What is in it for you?
