Finance Manager My client, a UK based Ecommerce company, is looking for a Finance Manager to join their company as the No. 1 Finance Head within the business. You will be responsible for finance operations, analysis and reporting of the company. This position will be responsible for producing high-quality, accurate, and timely reports and schedules for the evaluation of financial performance, cost control, cash flow management, and forecasting at company level. Location: Harrogate Salary: Up to GBP50,000 Responsibilities: Month End Management Accounts Produce accurate and timely monthly Management Accounts for various stakeholders across the Group, providing supplementary supporting analysis on any variances to budget/forecast and ensuring key stakeholders are effectively supported in their business decisions Conduct detailed reviews of balances as a control to ensure the delivery of accurate monthly accounts Strong understanding of the key drivers of margins and costs Investigate and explain major variances to budget, forecast and last year and present findings to the Managing Director as well as Group Senior Finance partners Support the external audit and year-end reporting cycle Balance Sheet Reconciliation Deliver a comprehensive set of balance sheet recs within strict deadlines Produce lead schedules to support balances for the more complex balance sheet areas, and support junior team members in completing reconciliations Understand what balance represent and effectively explain schedules, producing and providing supporting documentation where appropriate Budgeting Forecasting Prepare robust budgets and forecasts in line with Company and Group requirements Provide early warning on risks or opportunities to achievement of budgets and forecasts Effectively explain movements on prior forecasts and provide supporting documentation for inputs wherever needed Support function leads across the business in budgeting and managing their own cost centres Support in the weekly trading reporting of commercial performance across the business Support the Managing Director on all budgeting and forecasting plans and in developing strategic plans Cash Flow Management Own and lead the ongoing cash flow management for the Company Responsible for cash control, including forecasting operational cash flow movements Accurate and timely reporting on actuals vs forecast Lead working capital management and liquidity risk management Work with colleagues at a Group level to feed into all Group reporting requirements Systems and Controls Operate as a business partner for with Company within Group functions Own key controls for profit protection, from cost management through to stock, and work closely with functional leads to ensure profit protection at all times Key skills: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with experience post qualification Strong commercial acumen and financial understanding with a proven track record of success Proven track record of leading through periods of significant growth and change Excellent use of Excel for accounting to an advanced level Ability to analyse complex data with high attention to detail and accuracy Understands the need to adapt communication style when presenting information to financial and non-financial colleagues Bold leadership with a focus on nurturing talent and personal development Demonstrates strategic thinking, sound judgement and effective communication at all levels Driven, with an ambitious desire to succeed and deliver sustainable growth Resilient and confident individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment with high expectations Positive leadership role-model with a focus on nurturing talent and coaching for personal development Strong networking and relationship building and fantastic at leading cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders If you are a driven and resilient individual, with experience leading a Finance team, looking for a new position where you will act as a lead for financial reporting and accuracy, then please apply today!
