Senior c++ software engineer

Senior C++ Software Engineer ndash; Remote First (UK Based) / London - GBP65,000 to GBP80,000 ndash; Ref: JB54 We have a new opportunity for a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join a Cyber Security scale-up. You will be joining the Core Software Development team working on the main platform of which all their products run off. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Engineer who wants to take on more responsibility and eventually lead a small team of 3 to 4 Senior Engineers. Initially you will focus on pure development, but after 6 to 12 months you will start to take on more responsibilities which could include leading the scrum meetings and driving the adoption of best practices such as TDD. This will still remain a hands-on role, with roughly 80% to 90% of your time being spent on the design, development and maintenance of their highly scalable, real time multi-threaded / multi-processing solutions. Skills, knowledge and experience required: You must have a strong educational background, ideally including good a-levels and a minimum of a 2.1 degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics or relevant discipline ndash; A number of their engineers are educated to MSc / PhD level You should have a number of years rsquo; experience in the development of highly scalable, complex real-time solutions using C++ Any prior experience of leading small development teams, Scrum meetings or implementing best practices such as TDD would be a real plus. The role is remote first, but we do need the successful candidate to be based within the UK and have full right to work. They tend to hold planning sessions in the London office once every 2 months.
