We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist setting in Newcastle and are looking for a capable and HLTA or Graduate for an exciting role ! The setting is friendly and supportive and has an Ethos heavily rooted in kindness and exceeding outcomes. The school caters for Learners who are Post 16 and has recently been Ofsted graded Good We are looking for an Employer engagement and Alternative Provision HLTA, This role is (phone number removed)pm Monday to Friday Term time only. This position has a strong possibility of turning into a permanent role for the right candidate ( after a qualifying period).This is an immediate start position ! The Role- You #39;ll lead some classroom sessions - and with help, will plan and prep some lessons You work closely with a lovely team of teachers and TA #39;s You will source and establish links with local employers in order to gain placements for your learners You will Act as a support for learners in placement and the employers who are taking your learners to make sure placements go well You will co-ordinate and review Alternative providers You will conduct initial assessment and interview potential learners You will be able to apply a range of teaching and learning styles and strategies You will be confident and able to engage with pupils who have diverse needs - including de-regulated behaviour and reluctance to learn The person A highly experienced TA or HLTA looking to progress , or have Experience in careers or helping people back to work , currently a cover supervisor Applications welcomed from Graduates in any subject who are intending to start Teacher Training in September 2025 Experience in gaining work placements is desirable Great relationship builder with both pupils and external agencies DBS on the update service or willingness to complete an application Availability for at least a term Fully checkable work History SEMH experience or the passion and drive to work in this field.
