Estimator Our client, a leading construction company with a history dating back to 1972, has established itself as a prominent player in the UK construction industry, specialising in Flat and Pitched roofing. They are currently seeking an experienced Flat Roofing Estimator to join their dynamic team at our headquarters in Bedford. About the Role: As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates. Key responsibilities include: Reviewing site surveys and take-offs conducted by surveyors Generating precise cost estimates using Excel-based software Procuring all necessary subcontractor prices Participating in Contract Reviews with the Contracts Department upon project acquisition Mentoring and enhancing the skill set of junior estimators Assessing margin levels for projects across various client portfolios Occasional on-site visits may be required, but this is primarily an office-based role Job Requirements: Valid driving license DBS clearance (provided by the Company) Must be able to work at heights The successful candidate must have experience in the roofing industry, preferably in refurbishment Desirable experience in estimating, particularly within flat roofing What they offer: Competitive salary based on experience, with an attractive company bonus scheme A company fund for team-building events 24 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays On-site parking and access to an on-site gym If you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and meets the specified criteria, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
