Freight exports clerk

Our client is a well-established global service provider to the Freight forwarding, express and international parcels, warehousing and logistics industry. The network has more than 354 locations across 60 countries and with 13,000 employees serving alliance customers and attending to the details of their business round the clock, around the globe. We are now looking for a Multi Modal Freight forwarding Exports Clerk based at their offices in Slough Your role will involve: Create and issue quotations to prospects, customers and overseas offices and following these through. Booking shipments with Airlines/shipping lines Negotiating rates Arranging collections with the transport department or sub-contractors Prepare, control distribute all required export documentation to counterparts complying with regulations internal procedures Follow up shipment status, identify incidents ensure resolution of incidents Handling customer enquiries and maintaining relationships Skills and experience required: We require an individual who is a competent Export Clerk - knowledge can be in either Air, Ocean or both, providing they are prepared to train and learn areas they are not familiar with to make them fully multi-modal. In order to apply for this role, you will have some previous experience of working in an air / sea or road freight export team. Booking collections, booking with carriers, rate negotiation, export entries, raising shipping paperwork such as House Air Waybills, Master Air Waybills, quotations, certificates of origin etc. Benefits Start Date - ASAP Salary up to GBP27,00 to GBP30,000 per annum per annum depending on level of experience Pension, Death in service Bonus 25 Days Holidays Hours - Monday to Friday - 9:00am to 5:30pm Discounts, Cycle to work scheme
