Weekend Shift Engineer (Saturday Sunday) Salary: GBP42,200 per annum (pro rata) Benefits: 33 days annual leave (pro rata), life assurance (3 x salary), pension, benefit platform, gym membership, cycle to work scheme, employee support Role Overview: We are seeking a Weekend Maintenance Engineer to join our clients dynamic team and take responsibility for maintaining and repairing machinery a food manufacturing facility based in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients production processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the delivery of top-quality products to their customers. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery including peelers, Multivac, boxing machines, metal detectors, and weigh checkers. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production. Work independently and make quick and effective decisions to address any equipment failures or malfunctions. Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations, including HACCP standards. Provide support during weekend shifts (6-2 or 2-10) and be available to cover holidays during the week as required. Collaborate with shift supervisors to optimise production processes and improve efficiency. Requirements: Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment preferred. HACCP training and understanding of food safety regulations advantageous. Ability to work independently and under pressure, making decisions quickly and effectively. Flexibility to work weekend shifts and cover holidays during the week.
