Infrastructure engineer

Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer Location: Northamptonshire Contract Type: 3-month contract, hybrid Salary: GBP450/day Job Description: As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the migration of our On-Premise 2013 Exchange Server to either On-Premise Exchange Server 2016 or Exchange Online. Additionally, you will conduct a comprehensive review of our current email/messaging architecture, providing prioritised recommendations for improvements. Subject to approval, you will have the opportunity to implement these improvements, ensuring a streamlined and efficient system. Key Responsibilities: Migration of On-Premise 2013 Exchange Server to On-Premise Exchange Server 2016 or migrate to Exchange Online. Conduct a full review of the current email/messaging architecture, producing priority recommendations for improvements. Implement approved improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our email/messaging systems.Key Personnel Attributes: Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex issues, troubleshoot effectively, and provide timely resolutions in a fast-paced environment. Security Focus: Solid understanding of IT security principles and practices. Flexibility: Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.Technical Requirements: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server technologies (2013, 2016, 2019) and Exchange Online. Experience with Microsoft Infrastructure technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, VMware vitalisation, and network services. Experience with Citrix Server and Citrix products. Familiarity with Windows Virtual Desktop and associated migrations. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Admin and Infrastructure Monitoring Tools (e.g., SCOM, Vantage DX, Solarwinds). Proficiency in MS Office suite and building/deploying Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktops.
