Job Title: Office Manager Location: Shrewsbury Duration: 1.5 years Hourly Rate: GBP15 per hour Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (with some flexibility), 5 days a week in the office About: Are you an experienced office manager? Do you enjoy coordination on a large scale? Well then, look no further! We are looking for an experienced office manager to join a government organisation on an 18 month contract! The perfect candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and adept at problem-solving, ensuring seamless office operations and fostering a positive working environment for all stakeholders. Responsibilities: Office Management: Maintain office organisation and tidiness. Procure and manage office supplies, including ordering stationery as needed. Ensure office equipment is functioning properly and arrange for repairs or replacements when necessary. Accommodation Coordination: Coordinate local accommodation arrangements for staff and visitors, ensuring comfortable and convenient arrangements are made. Liaise with accommodation providers to secure bookings, negotiate rates, and manage reservations. Health Safety Administration: Oversee health and safety protocols within the office environment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Maintain records related to health and safety training, incidents, and inspections. Implement measures to promote a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.Requirements: Proven experience in office management or administration roles. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures is desirable. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.Note: This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning of the office at Shawbury through efficient administrative support. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a comfortable and safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
