Our client is a leading Materials Testing Construction business based in Leicester, specialising in providing comprehensive testing solutions for construction projects. Our clients #39; services encompass a wide range of testing requirements, ensuring the durability, safety, and quality of construction materials and structures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through the acquisition of new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and identifying opportunities for expansion within the construction sector. Main duties of the Business Development Manager: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth objectives. Identify and engage with potential clients within the construction industry, including contractors, developers, architects, and engineering firms. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality testing services that meet client expectations. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and new business opportunities. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients. Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company. Keep abreast of industry developments, regulations, and standards to maintain a competitive edge. Requirements of the Business Development Manager: Proven track record of success in business development, preferably within the construction industry. Ideally you will have a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and testing methodologies. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and objectives. Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
