Job Title: Supply Chain Co-Ordinator Job Location: Crewe Shifts: Regular days Hourly Rate: GBP15.60 - GBP18.20 Paye GBP20.57 - GBP24.11 Umbrella Hours Per Week: 37 hours Duration: 12 - 18 Months Start Date: ASAP Company Summary: A global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance. Position Summary: Successful applicants would be responsible for the continuation and improvement of the supply chain relationships within the nominated suppliers to ensure that material is delivered on time and within budgets. Position Tasks and Responsibilities: * Monitoring of supplier performance. * Performance reviews with supply chain. * Monitoring inventory. * Validation of material demands. * Expedite material deliveries to ensure OTD targets are met. * Negotiation with suppliers. * Maintain an inventory database. * Stock management inline with requirements of production. * PO and invoicing negotiations. * Reporting on KPI #39;s. * Materials control. Person Profile: * Strong supply chain experience is a must. * Inventory management experience. * Good understanding of materials management. * Strong negotiation skills. * Knowledge of database systems such as SAP. * Good analytical skills. * Competent on Excel at Intermediate level * Experience of LEAN principles (5 #39;s, Kaisen, CI, Visualisation Management) PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS AN DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION (this is standard procedure on Rail depots) Please note due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
