Quantity surveyor

DUTTON RECRUITMENT | SOUTHWARK | PERMANENT | ASAP | QUANTITY SURVEYOR QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Relevant qualification whether degree, HNC, or NVQ in Quantity Surveying (preferred but not essential). Good general education essential Two or three years experience within a contracting/subcontracting environment A good understanding of electrical systems is preferred but not essential.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop full understanding of the Contract / Sub Contract process Ensure applications for payment are accurate and submitted on time Manage cost control on all contracts Remain involved in the development of business to build on client relationshipsMAIN TASKS: Preparation of applications for payment Deal with contractual queries and difficulties, respond to contractual letters Prepare and submit contractual claims Chase payment within terms of contract and pursue aged debt Negotiate agreement of final account Maintain regular client contact to build on long term relationships Strive to improve the quality of service provided to the Company #39;s customers by identifying and proposing developments and amendments to systems used Take responsibility for own personal health and safety and impact on the environment GBP45,000-GBP55,000 ANNUAL SALARY It is company policy that individuals are as flexible in their work as possible, therefore employees are expected to perform any other duties as reasonably instructed to do so by their immediate line manager/director.
