Business Support Officer Summary: The Business Support Officer will play a vital role within our team, providing high-quality support to ensure the smooth operation of our business functions. This role requires a proactive and customer-focused individual who can efficiently handle queries, produce accurate information, and contribute to the development of business support initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Respond promptly and courteously to queries and correspondence from both internal and external stakeholders, employing tact and diplomacy. 2. Utilize established procedures and initiative to resolve queries at the first point of contact or escalate when necessary within agreed timescales. 3. Contribute to the accurate production of statistical data and other relevant information required for statutory and non-statutory purposes, maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness. 4. Identify, interpret, and extract information from various sources, using analytical skills to provide meaningful insights to stakeholders. 5. Update and extract information from management information systems accurately and competently, ensuring adherence to standard procedures. 6. Procure, monitor, and maintain office stationary and equipment, adhering to budgetary constraints and agreed timescales. 7. Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop, review, and align procedures and systems with service needs and objectives. 8. Provide cover and flexibility as needed to enhance the role of business support throughout the organization. 9. Demonstrate personal commitment to continuous self-development and service improvement. 10. Promote diversity and equal access in employment, service delivery, and communications, leading by example and taking proactive measures where necessary. Education and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in business administration or related field preferred. * Previous experience in a similar administrative role preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications
