Small works manager

Electrical Contracts Manager Avolon M E are working with one of our long standing clients a locally based East Sussex Electrical Contractors based in Eastbourne. The majority of there work covers commercial projects, schools, colleges, housing associations and individuals across Sussex and Kent. They are looking for a candidate that can work within a team environment on council contracts that run compliance responsive works, alongside medium sized lighting and power projects. The candidate is required to have previous experience as a Contracts Manager or Contracts Supervisor and who wishes to develop their career within the company. The role will be supported by an existing Contracts Administrator already working on the contracts who will deal with the day-to-day bookings, reactive and compliance invoices and general administration on the contracts and liaison with the client. Purpose of the role To contribute and integrate with the Company rsquo;s objectives and business plans. Ensure compliance with current standards and practices within the Electrical Industry. To independently manage works within the section. Duties will consist of the following areas: Council Portfolio (90%) middot; Reactive Works middot; Installation works middot; Emergency Lighting and Remedials Contracts Manager (Small/Medium Works) April 2024 middot; EICR rsquo;s and remedials middot; Small and Medium size Projects Commercial Clients (10%) middot; Reactive Works middot; Installation works (Small to medium) middot; EICR rsquo;s and remedials EICR Remedials other (10%) About you You will be a fully qualified (to 18th Edition) electrician with a professional and friendly approach to dealing with clients and colleagues. You may have office experience or looking for the next stage in your career. middot; Qualified Electrician as standard with City Guilds 2391. middot; Updated to 18th Edition. middot; BS 2394 and BS 2395 Testing Installation qualified essential. middot; Committed to building an effective team, strong communicator, with the ability to relate well to middot; A lsquo;Peoples Person rsquo; who is able to communicate well with new people and in different situations. middot; NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor status is desirable, training would be provided if otherwise. middot; You will have proven organisational skills, with the ability to project plan effectively. middot; You are a competent user of IT, with a willingness to utilise new software. middot; Full, clean or near clean, UK driver rsquo;s license. middot; Competent writer of quotations and proposals. middot; Ability to manage resources effectively to achieve the delivery of projects to time and within budget
