About the RoleT We need a Senior CAD Design Engineer to make 2D and 3D technical manufacturing plans. You would work with a small, friendly team and experienced managers to finish projects on time and uphold quality standards in the design department. Responsibilities Duties Your main responsibilities and duties will include: bull; Creating technical drawings including manufacturing drawings, client approval drawings, assembly drawings, and installation drawings. bull; Following document control requirements within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) bull; Ensuring the design is developed within the budgeted design period and allowance. bull; Reporting the progress of design tasks to management, flagging any risks to completing tasks; on time, on budget, and to an acceptable quality. bull; Resolving all design challenges in a proactive manner, including those related to client briefs, manufacture, installation, procurement, quality, cost, and time. bull; Coordinating design with all departments to ensure designs are manufacturable, transportable, installable, and maintainable. bull; Liaising with internal production to ensure the smooth running of the design and manufacturing process. bull; Assisting in the development and continuous improvement of existing design and quality systems. Qualifications and Experience We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications and experience: Mandatory We need a CAD Design Engineer with: * Experience with street furniture or objects in similar size as street furniture. * Experience with sheet metal. * Experience with metalwork specification for street furniture (metal grades / metal pre-treatment / metal finishes).
