Position Overview: They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant with proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or above. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with hearing impairments and other special educational needs, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they need to succeed academically and socially. Responsibilities: * Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with hearing impairments and other special educational needs, both inside and outside the classroom. * Use British Sign Language (BSL) to facilitate communication and understanding for students with hearing impairments. * Support students with personal care and behavioral management, promoting their independence and well-being. * Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians on a regular basis. Requirements: * BSL Level 2 qualification or above is essential. * Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs, preferably within a school setting. * A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to respond to the changing needs of students. * A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
