Support engineer

Job / Role Purpose To provide technical support and assistance to the Operations Manager as required with regard to all AUV vehicles, spread and associated equipment ensuring that it is available and operational, to meet project/contract requirements safely, effectively and efficiently and operated within agreed budgets. Primary Tasks * To work in accordance with defined Company QHS E Management Systems and be aware of H S responsibilities to you and to others. * Ensure all equipment is properly commissioned and tested in accordance with manufacturers and our clients rsquo; procedures. * Assist in the continued development and management of a comprehensive scheduled preventative maintenance system (including calibration and maintenance / defect reporting) to secure high levels of availability and first-class appearance of the systems, within or below budget regulated by the Operations Manager. * Provision of operational support through continuous development of comprehensive operational procedures for the systems and technical support / advice to offshore crews and Project Managers and other staff within the company. * Monitor, investigate, and provide feedback to the Operations Manager to close out NCR rsquo;s, UER rsquo;s and identify areas of recurring problems and/or the need for equipment modifications. * Assist other departments as required with operational and technical expertise during tendering and job planning, prior to project execution. * Plan, participate and subsequently report, to the Integrated Logistics, Engineering Support Manager on the general and planned maintenance of the equipment and the actual works to be performed. * Co-ordinate these activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and directing the work of the technicians (including offshore personnel when assigned to onshore works at the Marine Base) as instructed by the Integrated Logistics, Engineering Support Manager. * Assist in technical requirements needed during system upgrade, new build or major maintenance projects as required. * To maintain the vehicle fleets bill of materials and inventory within the computer management system. * Liaise closely with our clients Marine Base staff and provide technical assistance, oversee, create and update maintenance and asset work scopes and report back to the Integrated Logistics, Engineering Support Manager on any urgent or relevant matters that require attention/notification. * To contribute to the development, communication and promotion of corporate purpose, vision, mission and value and to the development of a culture of continuous improvement Qualifications, Skills Knowledge * 5 years rsquo; experience working with subsea assets and management systems. * A good knowledge of scheduled maintenance management techniques. * Experience embodying and recording modifications to vehicle systems. * Good IT skills and experience working with asset management systems. * Qualified electrical engineer with experience in HV systems. * Professional registration
