As Field Service Engineer you will carry out both planned and unplanned service and breakdown repair service to the customer base throughout Greater Manchester. You will also be required to work a weekly rotating shift comprising of 8am ndash; 5pm Monday to Friday and 1pm ndash; 10pm Monday to Friday; be on call 1 in 4 weekends and on call 2 evenings during the week. You will be qualified to NVQ level or above in mechanical engineering, be comfortable using mechanical hand tools and have some experience in servicing, repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment such as heavy vehicle plant, machinery, forklift trucks, agricultural machinery, road sweepers, powered access, marine plant, compressors or generators. An understanding of hydraulics and fault-finding electrics desirable as training can be provided.
