Teaching Personnel have a variety of opportunities in schools across Hastings, particularly a graduate teaching assistant post from September 2024 on a full-time basis for the full academic year. The successful graduate applying will be working within a large mixed secondary school, supporting class teachers during lessons and providing support to small groups in your specialist subject area. As a graduate teaching assistant, you rsquo;ll be expected to improve the attainment levels of children and develop their subject knowledge, aiding their confidence within lessons and generally around school each day. Benefits of this Graduate Teaching Assistant position include; - Full time graduate teaching assistant post, starting in September - Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:15pm for the school day (optional after school work) - Rate of pay to reflect previous experience, earn up to GBP350 per week - Develop your experience and knowledge of the education sector - Pathway in to teaching via a National Teaching School in Hastings - Regular training courses including ldquo;preparation for teaching rdquo; Graduates will need to have ambitions to work in the education sector, ideally to progress on to teacher training in the future. Experience prior as a teaching assistant isn rsquo;t essential, however you rsquo;ll need to have exposure to working with secondary aged children and have a strong passion for working as a teaching assistant.
