Teacher of Computer Science Wigan Secondary school September 2024 Prospero Teaching are working closely with a secondary school in Wigan who are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is ambitious and has an excellent work ethic to join their team from September 2024. Requirements: - Qualified Teacher Status - Graduate status, with appropriate levels of attainment and qualifications in Computer Science - Excellent subject knowledge - Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the Comptuter Science curriculum and related pedagogy - Ability to teach Computer Science to KS4 - A passionate interest in all aspects of the subject - An interest in promoting the subject outside the classroom - Highly professional standards in the classroom and when working with colleagues CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location - Wigan Position - Computer Science Teacher Type of work - Supply Teacher Start date - September 2024 Duration / Likely Duration - Long term, with the potential for extension depending on school End date (if applicable) - N/A Contract type - Temporary Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on schools needs Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP120 per day Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm (full day), half day (am or pm), individual lesson cover EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent Previous experience working in a UK school Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
