Mortgage Underwriter ndash; 2nd Charge / Second Charge Salary: Up to GBP40,000 Watford + Private Medical Dental Care + Pension Plan + Many more This is an excellent role with a lender who has gained a reputation for a family feel within the office and a huge level of success. Due to a recent influx of quality business and a pro-active new management team, they are keen to hire additional underwriters to already very successful BTL team. The Role for the 2nd Charge / Second Charge underwriter: Key Responsibilities for the 2nd Charge / Second Charge Role: middot;Manage a pipeline of 2nd Charge / Second Charge Mortgage loan cases and prioritise accordingly. Underwrite 2nd Charge / Second Charge loan applications within company lending criteria by making quality lending decisions. middot;Be vigilant when working on cases and refer where necessary to the appropriate person. middot;Always maintain a high level of communication with interested parties including brokers, applicants, surveyors and solicitors. middot;Maintain a high level of customer service with those internally and externally. middot;Work closely with other departments within the company including sales, compliance, finance, and collections. middot;Think outside the box and be proactive when suggesting ways to overcome potential problems, whilst ensuring that there is no additional risk to the company. middot;Maintain oversight of a loan post completion and follow up on any offer conditions prior to handing the loan to collections. middot;Keep up to date with current best practice and regulatory requirements. middot;Represent the company at events as required. Key Competencies for the 2nd Charge / Second Charge: middot;Experience of underwriting2nd Charge / Second Charge products ideally. middot;The role is fully office based and offers a competitive salary and supporting package.
