Building surveyor project manager

Job title: Building Surveyor Salary: GBP60,000 ndash; GBP65,000 Location: Hendon, North London Hours: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday to Friday O rsquo;Neill and Brennan have an immediate requirement for an experienced Building Surveyor. Our client is a fast-paced Property Management company with a portfolio that contains approximately 900 properties including office blocks, industrial estates, mixed use properties, retail units and development sites. They offer a highly competitive salary for the right candidate and are based in Hendon, North London. You must live within half an hour of Hendon and have a proven history of decent stints in each job. Those who can demonstrate this need not apply as they wont be considered. As a Building Surveyor your duties will include: bull; Provide a professional Project Management service to successfully deliver capital works projects bull; Direct and manage project teams from inception to handover and operation bull; Chair meetings with design teams, cost consultants, contractors and other specialists bull; Monitor project progress, produce reports and work schedules and identify corrective actions within the project team to ensure projects are always delivered safely and on time, on budget to meet the specified quality of the agreed design bull; Adopt a rigorous approach to the control of cost, quality, change management and programme by implementing project tools and procedures, standards and documentation bull; Take ownership and demonstrate leadership bull; Project Managers would be expected to demonstrate a successful track record of managing projects in a range up to GBP10m. bull; Be able to carry out all of the tasks and responsibilities designated to the Project Manager under the client #39;s appointments - including acting as the Client #39;s Representative, Employer #39;s Agent and Contract Administrator bull; Have a good understanding of their specialist sector including supply chains, suppliers, products, methods, procurement methods and (e.g. building construction and refurbishment). bull;Be able to provide high level cost advice and analysis and review and interrogate cost advice provided by others by active management. bull; Have a good understanding and keep up to date with processes, activity durations, lead times, dependencies and constraints. Be able to produce project programmes for projects of appropriate scale and complexity bull;Have a good understanding of change management processes and be able to lead appropriate change management on projects. Qualifications bull; Degree in Surveying, Construction, Engineering or other discipline relevant to the construction industry.
