Job Title: Education Health Care Assistant Location: Barking Dagenham Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time hours in a Special Needs School Salary: GBP83.85 - GBP110 Per day Job Duties: 1. Providing support to students with medical needs within an educational setting 2. Administering medication and assisting with medical procedures as required 3. Monitoring and documenting students #39; health conditions and reporting to the appropriate staff 4. Collaborating with teachers and healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of students 5. Supporting students with personal care needs and promoting independence Required Qualifications: - NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care - Valid First Aid and Manual Handling certifications - Enhanced DBS clearance (you can apply for a new one with us if you don #39;t have this) Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or educational setting is desirable Knowledge and Skills: - Understanding of common medical conditions in children and young people - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: - NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care - Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
