Workshop Plant Fitter - Leeds Salary GBP30,000 - GBP38,000 Overtime, Training and Benefits Alecto Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Plant Fitter based in Leeds Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Fitter to join their team. As a Heavy Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of heavy plant machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, dump trucks, and other specialised equipment. On Offer: GBP30,000 - GBP38,000 Basic Salary for a 40-hour week Overtime Offered Ongoing bonuses and benefits Comprehensive training and development opportunities An Enhanced Contributory Workplace Pension SchemeRequirements: Experience working as a Plant Fitter or similar role, experience in petrol and diesel engines, electrics, and mechanical equipment will also be considered Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems. Knowledge of plant and tool operations and maintenance requirements NVQ level 3 in Heavy Plant Maintenance or equivalent. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholder Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations A commitment to workplace health and safety.Responsibilities: Conducting diagnostic tests and troubleshooting faults on petrol and diesel engines, electrics, and mechanical equipment. Performing repairs and maintenance tasks on various plant and tool assets, including engines, generators, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Carrying out scheduled servicing and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Documenting all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts usage accurately. Collaborating with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimize equipment downtime.
