Roadside technician mobile mechanic

Roadside Technician / Mobile Mechanic Available Locations: based from home across the South of England including West South London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Wiltshire and Avon and Somerset areas Shift Pattern: 4 on / 2 off (other patterns available). Will include day, late and night working as well as weekend and Bank Holiday working as part of a rolling roster. Hours: average shift length is 10-12 hours per day. The company may require up to 90 extra minutes of flex time added to the end of the shift. If added then the shift time for the next shift can be reduced. Overtime: overtime hours are available Basic Salary: GBP27,000 - GBP34,000 plus generous performance bonus On Target Earnings: GBP38,000 - GBP42,000 per year depending upon hours worked and bonus We are an agency recruiting for one of the UKs largest independent breakdown and recovery operators covering the whole of the South of England. They are looking to increase their fleet of Roadside Technicians and are looking for skilled, friendly and helpful people to join their hardworking team. Based from home and provided with all the equipment needed to complete the job this is a great opportunity for a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join this well-respected company. Duties include attending customers at home, in their place of work or by the roadside and hellip; * Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults * Diagnosing and repairing Electrical faults * Towing broken down vehicles from the roadside to a designated drop off point using the onboard towing equipment To be considered for the role you must be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. The company are especially interested speaking to candidates with a minimum of 3 years recent workshop, garage or mobile experience. In addition, the following key skills and experience are essential: * Prefer NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Vehicle Mechanics / Repair with minimum 3 years on-the-job experience. * They will accept NVQ Level 2 with a minimum of 5-years recent on-the-job experience in either a garage, workshop or as a mobile mechanic * Full category B or above driving licence with a maximum of 6 points for minor endorsements and no outstanding DD, DR, CD, MR, AC or BA penalties. Held for more than 3 years (for insurance purposes) * Able to use diagnostic equipment * Familiar with electrical, fuel and ignition systems of vehicles (Electric and Hybrid training available) * Confident and personable when talking to customers * Willing to work by the roadside in all weather conditions * Empathetic and appreciative of the stressful situation that customers can find themselves in.
