Maintenance engineer

Monday ndash; Friday, Days - GBP49,300 - GBP55,000 Our client, a manufacturing company that has seen 100% growth yearly for the last 3 years, is looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their site near Newton Aycliffe. The hours are Monday ndash; Friday, 7am ndash; 3pm and the salary is GBP49,300 - GBP55,000 (inclusive of a GBP6,000 annual bonus) Benefits include 25 days of annual leave, healthcare, sick pay, a 9% company pension contribution, discounts on high-street brands and more. Responsibilities * Perform routine maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment and machinery. * Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues. * Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components. * Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and prolong equipment lifespan. * Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical and electrical faults promptly. * Manage maintenance projects, including planning, execution, and documentation. * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and project progress. * Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities. * Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. * Provide training and support to production staff on equipment maintenance procedures. * Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement. * Source spare parts and supplies as needed for maintenance activities. * Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repair requests. Requirements: * Demonstrable electrical and mechanical skills. * Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. * HNC/HND qualification in Engineering or related field.
