Heavy Plant Production Operative Salary: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications Location: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications This role is Kilwaughter, Co. We currently have an opportunity for a Heavy Production Operative to join our Operations team. As part of our production team, you will have the responsibility of operating production machinery to produce a range of products. Key Responsibilities: * Responsible for your own Health and Safety and that of your colleagues * Ensure compliance with company policies; Quality, Health Safety, Environmental and FEMAS management systems. * Operating automatic and manual machinery to produce products in line with production targets whilst ensuring all standards are achieved. * Assist with improvements and efficiencies in all production aspects. * Responsible for material waste management * Ensure that machinery is in a safe and satisfactory working manner before use by conducting regular pre-production checks. * Responsible for reporting any machine faults to supervisor or maintenance team. * Ensure effective house- keeping in accordance with company procedures. * Ensure appropriate paperwork is completed and maintained. * Maintain files and records and provide quick accurate information when required. * Ensure good relations and communications with all members and non-members of the team, providing excellent customer care in an efficient manner. * Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues to ensure a lsquo;one team approach rsquo; to deliver the company rsquo;s performance standards and the business objectives. * Undertake duties considered by the company as within the competence of the role. Criteria Essential Desirable Education middot; GCSE qualification in Maths English minimum Grade C or equivalent. middot; NVQ Level 2 or quivalent Experience middot; 1 years proven experience operating automatic and manual processing machinery. middot; Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team environment. middot; Experience with Heavy plant machinery such as Rigid Dumper, Articulated Dumper and Shove middot; Experience of working to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 middot; Working within the Quarrying / Milling industry middot; Forklift truck experience. Skills and Competences middot; Fork-truck licence middot; Strong team player with excellent communication skills, both oral and written middot; Good problem-solving skills middot; Ability to work on own initiative middot; Computer literate middot; Knowledge and implementation of Health Safety middot; Working knowledge of FEMAS Circumstances middot; The shift pattern for this role is as followed: 2-week rotating shifts (1 Week days, 1 Week Nights) middot; Ability to do nightshift is essential for this role. middot; Able to work flexible hours as required and overtime.
