Manual Miller/Jig Borer As a Jig Borer/Manual Miller, your primary responsibility will be to carry out high precision work using a Jig Borer/Manual Mill. You #39;ll set up and run the machine to perform precision machining operations, ensuring that tasks are completed within specified targets, criteria, and deadlines. Key Responsibilities include: Operate and Set Up Machines: You #39;ll operate and set up jig boring machines and manual mills to perform precision machining tasks. Read and Interpret Drawings: You #39;ll read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to determine machining requirements. Tool Selection and Installation: Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and workpieces on the machine. Adjust Machine Settings: Fine-tune machine settings, including speed, feed rate, and depth of cut, to achieve precise tolerances and surface finishes. Monitor Machining Process: Continuously monitor the machining process, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy. Inspect Finished Parts: Verify conformance of finished parts to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Compliance with Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with quality standards, policies, procedures, and relevant codes and legislation, including health and safety guidelines. Experience: Jig Boring/Manual Milling: Proven experience with manual milling and/or Jig boring is essential.(toolmaking?) Lifting Equipment: Familiarity with using lifting equipment such as Jib Cranes and forklifts to load/unload materials from the machine is desirable.
