Branch manager

Branch Manager - Norwich 40 hours per week, between 7am-5pm Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays 8am-12pm ndash; no Sunday working! Working with a market leader in the Painting and Decorating industry, we are looking to recruit a Branch Manager to join this Norwich store. This store has a large offering of painting and decorating products. There is also a specialist designer paints and wallcoverings and sundry items area for the decorative market. * This great opportunity and you will be leading and developing a team, you will manage and motivate the team to achieve branch and company objectives which includes performance reviews, appraisals and KPIs. * Gaining up-to-date knowledge of area developments and competitor activity, you will create, manage and develop a branch business plan and work with Management to agree the branch budget. * Developing sales to agreed levels, through new and existing business, you will pro-actively market the business for the branch and control and where possible reduce costs by managing stock to agreed levels. * Delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers (trade and retail), you will deal with customer queries, projects and complaints in a prompt and effective manner, consistently meeting customer requirements. * You will build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, merchandisers and other partners and organise events and initiatives to promote good relations and drive the sales development. What we are looking for hellip; A sound knowledge of the decorating industry with the tenacity to deliver objectives and achieve targets but if not decorative experience, a strong retail background is essential. You must also have the ability to identify new market and product opportunities and provide excellent customer service. This will require good communication both internally and externally. Candidates must hold a full driving licence.
